My Helm of the Trusted Defender is a Lemon

Post by HandsomeDevil »

I bought the Helm of the Trusted Defender for my chaotic good Gnome Ftr/Thief, and only *now* does he start getting fatigued. It says explicitly that the wearer is never fatigued. Strangely enough, he's the only one in the party that does get fatigued - and it only happened *after* I bought the helm. What's going on? Is this a bug?

If you didn't mistake another symbol for fatigue this must be a bug.
Does the fatigue disappear if you put the helm off and on again ?

I don't know what other symbol it could be. It looks sort of like a red curtain - and the guy is making yawning noises (I have the voice set on the "unintelligible grunting" fighter). It seems to come and go.

I'll try playing around with the helm on and off the next time it happens.

I've had that happen before. It's a bug. Do you have the expansion Heart of Winter and the free expansion Trials of the Luremaster? The bug disappeared on me when I installed HoW/TotL.
When your back is against the wall... the other guy is in a whole lotta trouble.

I've just got the vanilla IWD - no expansions.

I'm still having problems with the helm. It's incredibly stupid - after hasting my characters, they end up fatigued, *except* buddy with the Helm. Right after resting, buddy then starts complaining he's tired. If I take the helm off and put it back on him, it seems to quiet him down for a while.

Oh well, I guess bugs are bugs because they don't make sense.
