well, aerie became one of bodhi's undeads and eventually got killed in chapter six, and i resurrected her via amunator statue. she reacts as if i kicked her out, and the romance ended. hmph, i was looking forward to how it would end, but oh well. is this the way it's supposed go? if it is, it's real corny... :p

Sounds like a bug to me, I know that's not the way it's supposed to go. Have you tried downloading the lastest patch?

If THAT doesn't work, I recommend (and I always do) getting ShadowKeeper, which will allow you to play with the global variables and NPC affects. You can find some great info on how to do this by a) running a google search on "baldur's gate II romances" and finding the mud-masters romance FAQ, and also going to the SoA seciton of sorcerers.net and dowloading the SoA Romancing Guide, which will give you the downlow of each romance every step of the way. In conjunction with the ShadowKeeper utility, the Romancing Guide will let you identify where you want Aerie's 'LoveTalk' variable to be (it's a numeric value) so that your romance can continue. Also, there is a Romance Active variable that you will want to set back to 2 (romance active) once you get her back in the party. The Romancing Guide will explain all of this. It helped me out sooooo much...

Good luck!
