Well, I can't tell you *why*, but I have a suggestion how to fix it :)

Locate and download ShadowKeeper, a SoA customising utility... it's very nifty, and very simple to use. As a matter of fact, I believe there's a link to it from this site.

Anyhow, this utility will allow you to edit everything about your game, including your character's inventory. You can use SK to delete the item and then move on. Unless you're trying to equip it and can't? If you can't get the item out of you inventory and on your neck, you can also use SK to delete it from inventory, and then re-add the item from the list of ALL THEM ITEMS IN THE GAME (*drool*) that the utility provides into the appropriate equipped slot.

WARNING: Having this utility will make the urge to cheat almost unbearable ;) Try to restrain yourself until you're playing through a second or third time before you make your party gods, lest you rob yourself of some fun :)

Ciao!
Boat Drinks,

Pax

The greenstone amulet being droppable was a bug. It was fixed for TOB as undroppable, thus if you have it in your inventory and installed TOB, (as most of us smart folks did, I had it around the neck of my fighter/gnome) then it becomes undroppable in your inventory. =)

Alternatively (instead of using shadowkeeper), you could visit TeamBG and get the IEEP and make/edit any items in the game. There is a flag which needs to be checked under item attributes for 'droppable', if you use IEEP.

Because its a different Item file, that has the same description as the other one. The actual *real* greenstone amulet is droppable.
