Romance Q

Post by Tribblemaker »

So I hear that if you're a male, you get some sort of romance with Bastila. And they actually have a kiss scene. (by the way how does that work) I know there's a Carth-Revan romance if you play it female, though, but is there no actual romance? I mean, I've gotten all of Carth's dialogue out, but there's nothing interesting..........

I was just wondering if I missed something.

HERES MY PROBLEM:::

I know you have to get the evidence from Uthar's bedroom to convince Dustil to leave the sith. I did that, but he doesn't give me the chance to tell him about it.

HELP ME PLEEEEEEEEEEEASE

Did you talk to Dustil first before bringing Carth in? If I recall correctly, (Spoilers, please highlight)
Spoiler
I talked to him until the part where he mentioned that his father's name is Carth. Bring Carth along in your team and the conversation between the two will ensue. After he ask for proof, then you can go and find the evidence.

As far as i recall, if you bring Carth along (supposedly as a 'slave') and then talk to Dustil you should be able to find the datapad and present it to Dustil.
If you cannot open the door for any reason then open it by doing the double-cross quest where you weaken both Uthar and Yathura.

I didn't bring in Carth as a slave and yet, I was able to complete this quest. In fact, I can bring in practically anyone without getting into trouble at all. ;)

Whatever man. This guy has been here longer than me. Therefore it is only logical that he knew what to do.
However my answer wasnt wrong, it just wasnt the full options available to you.

Are you sure you've gotten all of Carth's dialogue? The first time I played it through I missed one conversation where he finally decides that he trusts you (of course, this happens before the Leviathan, or at least it should or you can't complete the romance). Then sometime after the big revelation on the Leviathan and the scene on the Hawk where he flips out and stops talking to you, appraoch him again and ask him how he's feeling. If you've gotten all of his conversations, he should tell you he loves you.

Say, how do you trigger the Bastila romance anyway? Is it during the conversation where she apologises to you for being such a witch and you tell her that you could be more than friends? Does one have to take that dialogue option to trigger the romance?
I don't remember if I did last time I played, but there was no kiss anyhow

EDIT: I rephrase my question, just found a guide and according to it you are supposed to tell her that you could be more than friends. The guide doesn't say that you have to hit on her all the time during dialogue, but it doesn't say that you do either. So what I'm asking is this: I haven't made any advances on her during the game, will it suffice to tell her that you could be more than friends to trigger the romance or has that boat already sailed along time ago due to me not hitting on her?

Must say the Bastilla love storyline was rather...well average. Not as good as the Carth/Revan one if you play as a woman that is. But the build up, then she gets turned, then you turn her back and then nothing. Rather bland, but i suppose it freshened things up this time through.

As far as I can tell, as long as you never tick her off to the point that she stops talking to you (i.e. tell her to leave you the hell alone) you should still be able to complete the romance. Not sure if you have to complete her sidequest for it to work though.

The only way to fulfil the romance with bastila is to make sure that you talk to her as much as you can in between each map that you find. If you fail to talk to her enough in between each find then the romance will not be an option. I also think it works best as a lightsider as she admires you more.

I didn't read all the post, but I did read in my Guide Book that, for Carth, the last conversation is on the Unknown world, after the temple where you choose you're final allignment, depending on your choice, that can bring two different coversations.
