Oblivion - Mages Guild - Confront the King

I Need help - I went to Echo Caves and was wearing an invisibality suit I created and went to confront Guard Bolor Savel. I went to attack and he ran off and I cant seem to find him. I have searched around the cave and I have also returned other nights hoping he would be there but he has yet to return. Any other way to get into this cave without the key?

Any ideas on how to locate him, anyone experience the issue?

u will hav to go running around with detect life to find him

I recall having difficulty getting in to Echo Cave myself, but it's been a while and I don't remember exactly what the problem was. I think I already knew about the cave from one of the previous quests (maybe Falcar mentioned it?), and I went directly there before I talked to Traven. Anyway, check your quest log to make sure you haven't skipped a required step in the quest. If that looks good, check your map; I don't remember if the map marker points to the cave or to Savel. If that doesn't help, travel to another map location, wait a while and go back. He should return to the cave once he gets out of "fleeing" mode.

The best way (worked for me) is to get close to him in sneak mode and shoot him with an arrow. if you are good enough you will take him down, or you can use some paralyze poison on the arrow or a spell of this sort. I also summoned a storm atronach, just in case. He attacked my atronach and of course died rather quickly. Anyway, if you attack him there is a big chance for him to attack you.
