What is the EVIL pc of your choice? (spoiler alert)

Post by andy_c »

Hi everyone. i'm new here... pls help me out.

I've always been a goody kinda guy. i just cant play EVIL. however, when i read EVIL character has a cool endgame, i've decided to play as one. i dont have much idea about evil pc in nwn2. here i'll share my thoughts and would really appreciate anyone helping me out with their opinion/thoughts about a cool/powerful EVIL pc build. here is my choice:

race: tiefling
class: rogue, assassin
starting stats:
str 14, dex 17, con 14, int 18, wis 8, cha 6

i'd love to take two weapon fighting skills (inspired from moire, she gave me quite the tough time), also this will be the rogue of my party so no room for neeshka.

pls help me out with suggestion and your point of view about your favourite EVIL pc.

and also, what does the FEINT feat do? can anyone explain it to me? is it worth it?

thanks everyone.

Hi, Andy!

The best evil rogue would probably be a Drow Elf. Only problem is, that Drow elves level 2 levels behind 'normal' races. The Tiefling is 1 level behind normal.

Tiefling is a pretty good choice, though s/he doesn't have the same strengths and advantages as Drow (s/he has different strengths/advantages, of course).

Also, if you are going for a level-adjusted race then it is wiser to stick with a SINGLE class, imo (though others may disagree with me!)

Your suggested stats: str 14, dex 17, con 14, int 18, wis 8, cha 6 - are ok, but... well... you can manage fine with 10 STR (give Weapon Finesse Feat so s/he uses dex in fighting, not str; and Two-Weapon Fighting), and add those 4 points to CHA (you would be amazed at the difference it makes, especially if you build up Diplomacy as much as other Rogue skills) or INT or DEX, depending on your play style.
Myself, I always keep Con down to 9 or 10 as well, so as to have the points for other attributes of more value to a Rogue. After all, with Rogue special Feats, plus the feats you give, plus Dex score, s/he doesn't get hit as often as other classes.

My own favourite race for Rogue is Strongheart Halfling - but I don't play evil! :D

There will always be a place in my heart for my evil Svirfneblin Monk/Wizard/Pale Master/Duelist!! Admitedly, difficult to play at times with the -3 level adjustment (lack of hitpoints mainly), but FUN none the less. Before you start bashing multiclassed monks, multiclassed casters, or Svirfneblin in general consider this:

Svirfneblin get nice bonuses to dodge AC and Saving Throws, which coordinates with the monk's strengths. Svirfneblin also get bonuses to spellcraft, craft alchemy, and illusion spells, which are beneficial to a caster. In this way the Monk/Wizard/Pale Master/Duelist takes full advantage of the generally underrated and underutilized Svirfneblin race.

I'm still waiting for epic levels to unlock the true power of this build in the form of crazy immunities.

Another fun possibility is the Rogue/Assasin/Weapon Master(Scythe). An assasin is supposed to sneak in and kill quickly. You will not find a better weapon for this purpose than a scythe with a critical rage of 17-20 x5!! Plus, you have all the satisfaction of role playing the Grim Reaper.

Chaotic Evil human female Ranger, single class. She dual-wielded kukris and, by the end, was a veritable killing machine who, of course, sided with the King of Shadows.

I forget her stats, but I played her as a counterpart to Bishop and because I wanted to tell Casavir to slash his throat when he confesses his love for me ( which he did, curiously enough, considering my PC was the antithesis to his Paladin-dom ).
