Monks and con bonus

Post by Lobster »

Do monks get the same con bonus as fighters, or is con over 16 (17 for Keldorn's plate) a waste of stat points?

+ edit +

I've just discovered that they *DO NOT* get the fighter con bonus :(

If gaining Keldorns Armor - which provides free action and +1 all savings throws i think is worth it - then just get the +1 CON - its not like a monk needs many stats - 17 18 17 10 10 10 + any free stats isn't hard to come by.

Why would a Monk aim for Keldorn's armor ?? don't they lose their AC bonus when wearing armor ?? and Secondly Keldorn's armor is AC1 meaning that a monks natural AC is better at least later on.......unless they stack ?? AC1 - dex bonus - monk level/2 ??

Keldorn's armour is A/C 0 actually, but only Keldorn should be able to wear it. Allowing a monk to use it (assuming he/she has the needed stats, 17 con 12 Int etc) was obviously a mistake on Bioware's part.

I can see why someone playing a low level monk would want to use it, but as monks have to be lawful they should really be above such chaotic exploitation.
