That's what this thread is about, Shivering isles and people's opinions on whether it's good or bad, so this is kind of redundant to be honest.

In any case, I'm currently waiting on my copy to arrive, I actually can't wait to try it to see if they made it a little better of a game. Though...I do hope that Oscuro's Oblivion Overhaul is compatible with it, I don't play oblivion without that mod whatsoever.

I got Shivering Isles this weekend and I'm pretty psyched so far. It's FAR more extensive than KOTN (which I played thru in a single night) so I've really only scratched the surface. Characters with a Lawful streak might find some of the missions distasteful (you are in the realm of madness, of course), but there are several things about it I like better than the original main quest (to which it seems to be very loosely tied, but I've really just started so that link may develop further or it might just be my imagination).
Can the answer to this question be "No"?

I thought shivering isles was awsome. it was like a mix of the expansions for morrowwind-bloodmoon and tribunal. highlight to read:
Spoiler
it was like bloodmoon because it was about stopping a once-an-era disaster that involves daedric princes, and it was like tribunal because it was about gaining the favor from a god. I also thought that becoming something very close to a god at the end was extremely cool.

i like it so far, but the monsters in the game are the most ANNOYING thing ever. there are guys stronger than ogres, and you can fight up to 3 sometimes. it really makes exploring dungeons a waste of time.

i do like the choices you have to make. it adds replay value to the entire expansion. im actually looking forward to playing it again and choosing Mania instead of Dementia.
