I fought malak 3 times with my uber strong char, just to see the differences between difficulty levels.
Easy: He didnt hit me at all
Normal: He hit me 2 times
Hard. HE MISSED ME ABOUT 4 TIMES!!!!!
Why is there such a big difference between normal and hard? It doesnt feel right for some reason....

That was probably just per chance that it happened. Malak obviously didnt roll very well when he tried attacking you on hard. He obviously rolled better when you were on normal.
Try it again. You should find the majority of time that Malak is harder to beat on hard.

He's implying that Malak only missed 4 times in the entire battle compared to only hitting about twice on normal mode. So he meant that the hard setting is a lot harder than normal mode.
