Pesky portal problems
Pesky portal problems
The probloem hearin lies in the fact, as mentioned in a previous note, that I am getting my ass waxed across some foriegn domain. The de'arnies girl is, well... useless, because she dies. Almost immediatly, and without fail (how obediant of her). The others expire at random times and intervals. The question is how do I defeat the initial portal problem, or am I just not a high enough level. I am a fighter and have experienced two level ups since the begining. The closest I came was killing everyone excpet the lizard/wizard, who realising his mistake, froze me and summoned some other chap to finnish me off. Aside from the affore mentioned two, I also have Yoshimo, Jahiera, Minsc, and Aerie

Priest or mage level five slot? Remember, she is both so you should have priest level 3 spell animate dead, and should have plenty of lv 3 slots.
Another possibility is to go to wasukkens prominade, and I think the book seller, above the inns, has chaos.
cast chaos, possibly preceeded by greater malison, and you might be able to confuse enoguh of them to give you a chance. looks like you're running a fighter heavy party, and thats a type I never run. I always run mage/cleric heavy parties.
hmmm... if you got enough gold, buy up a lot of heal potions and have aerie cast cloudkill at the main body of the enemy, using one of the wands you have from dungeon number 1
you need some sort of mass area damage spell, to hit the main body of the enemy, so you can keep them from massing. stinky cloud might work, just becareful not to knock out your fighters.
Spiderspaawn might help a lot too.
hmm....
emotion might work too...
So might telelport field,
glitter dust might blind a lot of them, and you might try spook on the mage. This should panick him, and panicked mages can't spell cast.

They call me Darth...

Skull Trap around a bit; that always gets 'em. And have Aerie cast Holy Smite (and Jaheira cast Insect Plague if she has it). Use plenty of area damage on enemy Mages; it'll pass right through all of their protections and maybe disrupt their spells.
Or bash 'em with the Flail of Ages. I never seen a Mage that could take it.
