Can anyone be turned?
Can anyone be turned?
Hi - one question:
Can anyone of the crew, that is following you be turned into a Jedi? Cause almost everyone is a Jedi now, except the droids and Bao Dur...can he be turned????
And:
Please notice my thread below: Cause the Gizka-Patch didn't work...please - if anyone could help me there too...

About Bao-Dur, it is possible to turn him into a Jedi. Just be nice to him and do good deeds in front of him. Then, you can train him to be a Jedi (he will become a Jedi Guardian). The only people who cannot be turned into Jedis are the droids, Mandalore and Hanharr (if you are fully dark side in Nar Shadaa).
''They say truth is the first casualty of war. But who defines what's true? Truth is just a matter of perspective. The duty of every soldier is to protect the innocent, and sometimes that means preserving the lie of good and evil, that war isn't just natural selection played out on a grand scale. The only truth I found is that the world we live in is a giant tinderbox. All it takes...is someone to light the match" - Captain Price

I also noticed that too. I used him quite frequently early (and in most parts of the game) on due to the fact that he is a tech specialist. Managed to gain some influence through being nice to him and doing some good deeds early on (in cases like Onderon and Nar Shadaa).bigredpanda wrote:It's easier to train Bao-Dur at the beginning of the game, I've found, if you keep being nice to him from when you first meet him. Having said that, I might have found it easier earlier because I don't generally take Bao-Dur out much. Oh, and you can't put robes on Bao-Dur.

started playing 4 days ago, and yesterday I managed to have Mira, Bao Dur, Disciple, and Atton all. I've been on peragun, then telos, then dantooine (CRYSTALS!!) then nar shadda, and finally Dxun and planet. Today I'm going to see if I can make Mandalore and G0-t0 into good guys.
I hate it that I can;t refuse g0-t0.

Tried that before and it didn't work. I lost influence with them instead (HK, Mandalore and GO-TO) for giving a good answer.JFSOCC wrote:Today I'm going to see if I can make Mandalore and G0-t0 into good guys.

It's a minor glitch. Happened to me on several occassions especially when I talked to Mandalore in the Ebon Hawk. One moment, he's neutral and the next, he is dark. I have yet to see a fix for this, though.Elorian wrote:They all were good some time I played...but then, after they came back on the Ebon, their allignement changed back to their "normal" dark allignement.

the secret to g0-t0, I think, is being able to take a few darkside hits and then compensating with lightside actions when he's not with you.
no, wait, that doesn;t quite say it: in order to get influence with anyone, agree blindly with them, or ask as cautiously as possible.
I seem to get most influence with Go-To at onderon, during conversations where you can choose paths that are best for the republic. also accepting his "reward for each planet you stabilize" scheme, seems to work as well: basically, what's good for the republic, regardless whether its light or dark, works for him.
in onderon, when *spoiler* the assault begins on the palace, take him with you, and when you get to decide the fate of general ?tobin?, order his death. *end spoiler* that seems to go down well with both kreia as with go-to.

On the subject of training Mira (Bug?)
Not that I don't value her as her regular scout self, but I'm unable to trigger Mira's Force-sensitivity...
She's finally agreed to let me 'show' her the Force; we were on Dxun at the time, so we had to play out the first part of the Onderon mission.
After that, I've tried to take her back to Nar Shaddaa to begin her training but the game keeps failing to load the planet.
Has anyone seen this before? Is this a known issue - and if so is there a patch or other solution?
Many thanks in advance for any help you folks can give me.

Caranthe: Take Mira to Naa Shadda, to the place where Kreia showed you the currents of the Force an boosted your FPs.
To further clarify the INF getting thing:
INF gains with party members are completely unaffected by your alignment or theirs. They are preset.
Most of the things you have to do to get INFwith GO-TO, Hanharr, HK, Kreia and Mandalore are DS. Most of the things you have to do to get INF with Mira, T3, Bao-Dur and Handmaid/Disciple are LS. Atton and Visaas have a fairly even mix of Ls and DS things, perhaps tending slightly towards DS.
Off the top of my head, here are some alignment-neutral things you can do to gain INF with companions who might otherwise be opposite alignment to you (ie. these things give you an INF boost with the relevant person without any Dark or Light change) (I'\ve tried to minimise the plot spoilers)
Atton:
On entering the Harbinger, you trigger a conversation about orbital drift charts. At its end, tell Atton his plan is good.
When you enter the Harginger Engine Deck, Atton has a 'bad feeling'. Ask him what's wrong then say 'We have to be careful but we have to keep moving'.
Ask him to check the repairs to the speeder in the Naa Shadaa refugee area. and tell him he's the expert.
Jedifying him gives INF, DS or LS acording to his INF at the time
Bao-Dur:
Ask him to examine the sensors found in the cave on Dantooine
Ask him to check the repairs to the speeder in the refuggee area on Naa Shaddaa
GO-TO:
Ask him what capabilities he has, then tell him he's an asset.
Reprogramming the droid in the market place on Onderon 'to be more helpful'
Handmaiden:
Each of the 3 fights (at level 12, 15, 18 of the PC) gives INF
HK:
On your second encounter with Ponlar on Onderon, tell the people to riot.
Kreia:
On entering the Harbinger, you trigger a conversation about orbital drift charts. At its end, tell Kreia you were distracted
Persuade Lootra to work for the Exchange.
Ask the Leader of the refugees on Naa Shaddaa about the Exchange. Kreia will suggest you make life miserable fo the refugees. Agrree.
Demand a free version of the prototype droid shield on Naa Shaddaa.
Ask Kreia how Visass 'sees'; she will give you a lesson
Ask to continue that lesson
Ask Kreia about improving you weakest skill. Do so (equipping an item item works). Return to her and ask about the lesson again.
Looting the corpses in the Valley of the Dark Lords on Korribam will LOSE influence, but give several thousand XP
T3:
When the PC first encounters him, say 'We encountered the assassin droid too', then tell him it wasn't his fault he was overcome.
When you first meet him, ask him about functions he's lost and damage he's suffered, then say you're sure he'll get them back.
On first leaving the ship on Dantooine, examine the protocol droid and tell T3 he's very observant to spot it's damaged.
When T3 relays the message from Tobin about returning to Onderon, thank him.

At the end of the day your enemies do not care if Mandalore or the floating black droid are good or bad. As they follow you then logically they are automatically attacked. So in a way your enemy will see them as either light sided or dark sided as they choose to follow you either way, and based upon your alignment they would think of them as the same.
For example it could automatically be assumed by a Dark Jedi that is attacking you that because you are a Dark Jedi that the other people in your party will also be darksided because they follow you.
Phew.. that took some typing.
