I've got this kick-ass greatsword (Dagger of Chaos) that drains life, drains strength (thanks to the black pearl upgrade), confuses the enemy and has a +3 bonus. The smith (Rizovil?) said he'd upgrade my weapons, so I paid him to let the sword haste me and give me 20 spell resistance.
Now here's my problem: when I ask the smith to upgrade it even further (like, from +3 to +4), he says he can't do that because the weapon is already heavily enchanted! People on this forum say they upgraded their weapons to +10, so why won't Rizovil do the same for me?
There is a limit on how enchanted a weapon can be. You have too many other effects on the weapon already in order to make it +10 as well. If you want a +10 weapon you will need to put less other stuff on it.
