Recently, Bethesda released a new patch to solve the FromId problem, at the official oblivion website they note: You will need to uninstall and reinstall Oblivion if you installed any of the Shivering Isles beta patches.
I was wondering if you need to unistall and reinstall the game, your saved games are gone or not?

I don't have know the specifics about this, but I can assure you, yes. You will be able to keep your saved games, this has always been Bethesda's policy. Morrowind demonstrated this when they replaced the journal system for a quest log system. Your saved games are normally not even deleted when you uninstall.
