unable to install bbrd2?

i just got icewind dale 2 few days ago...thought i would try to install but when i install it says:

An installation file
'C: DOCUME~1\Owner\LOCALs~1\Temp\{588C135F-0B15-4A02-8F2D-04697BE2904E}\bbrd2.bmp'
could not be installed.

incorrect funtion.

i followed the adress and found out it was a potrait with a setup.inx....but i don't know what to do...i searched on google, but nothing...what's going on?

Was the game brand new or used?
Have you checked the condition of the cd? Is it scratched or dirty?

It sounds that the cd is either broken, scratched or dirty. Of course, if you are able you could always try to install the game to other computer to see if the problem is in your computer or in the cd.

it's used...and looking at it now ...in the light...it does look in pretty bad condition....i've tryed to make a copy of the disc but it didn't work...just not in good enough condition to get copied....guh....

Then the cd is broken.

I suggest to try to find brand new version from stores, as those are quite cheap nowadays...

Also, if you don't already have IWD1, I suggest to try to find a package which includes both games with expansions...
