help never played bg before, just brought bg 4 in 1 but no instruction on anything, would love to know how imoen activates her different talents tried activing open lock & finding traps can anyone lead me to the basic keyboard move for each person

Check the sticky threads, as always, and use our Search function to find plenty of info. Also, check the walkthrough on the site. If you still have a question that hasn't been answered before, start a new thread and be specific. We'll help where we can.

For sure, I'd say play BG1 first. During the Prologue, spend alot of time talking to the green-robed monks throughout the grounds of Candlekeep. They offer good tidbits of advice. Other non-monk characters offer tutorials for combat, group combat, etc. Do all this before talking to Gorion and initiating Chapter 1.
The tutorial for BG2 ain't bad, either.
