Daggers are great!!!!

Firetooth +3, not the crossbow, but the throwing dagger you get in the underdark, which comes back to you has both fire damage, great for mage interrupt, even works on liches! and does about as mcuh damage as a longsword!

Boomerang dagger+2 is really nice as well.

and in watchers keep is spectral brand +4 which is possibly one of the best edged single handed weapon in the game, with only foebane, and black razor as better.

dont forget gnasher club, which is wicked against spell casters because the splinters dig in and keep doing damage...melf acid arrows anyone?

The impaler and withering spear, I like the great impaling damage and the vicious poison damage

Druids have it pretty damned good, and jehira rocks!

Oh yeah, check the tob forum for the clua console to summon artemis. dagger +4 lifestealer, a really excellent dagger, is not placed in the game.

Also, she can use pixie prick and stilleto of demarchess, both of which are excellent weapons.

Sorry, I was talking about jaheira. In fact, she is so versatile, I am thinking of taking her thru soa as ONLY tank. Thinking of running a 5 person party.

Yeah, but once in a while it explodes!!!!

Its ok if druid has red dragon plate and ring of fire ressit and helm of defense, the fireball wil actually heal them, but kinda awkward for the rest of the party. This is actually a great mage interrupt! But on your mage!!

What about the acid club (can't remember the name now) you can buy in Trademeet? I always have Jaheira wield either that or Belm along with a shield, depending on the creature she is fighting.

Like others have said, there are a lot of cool weapons for druids.
You will run afoul of both a common misconception and a family of bears.

I wouldn't say that Jaheira is a tank, but it seems every time I start a new game, she eventually ends up with a -6 to -9 AC. Generally speaking, anyone with an AC like that and STR above 15 is pretty good to have in a fight.

The major thing to keep in mind, though, is that a Druid generally isn't a front rank fighter. Keeping Jaheira in a back rank with the Reflecting Shield and casting Insect spells on spellcasters helps a lot. Plus the joys of summoning Fire Elementals.

Yes, Blackblood is one of the better weapons in SoA. A blunt + 3 weapon will hit most creatures and this one, in addition to the extra damage, kills trolls to.

Yeah, but I'd rather Jaheria was a multiclassed fighter/cleric.

Who wants to turn into a bear anyway? Give me god damn restoration spells.

Anomen is so annoying! He's always going "this task is beneath us, leave that for the garrison" or something. Not to mention he's damn arrogant. His comment when the party is popular or heroic makes me wanna bash his head against a beholder.

Solution for anoweenie...send him alone against a pit fiend!

Ooopss, thats my solution for the thread soloing planar sphere!

Seriously, anoweenie is just not worth it, he's dual class, wwhich rocks in SOA, but the real power chars in tob is multiclass. its tough getting the levels, but aerie and jaheira become uber killers at high levels, the ability to pick from 2 pools of high level abilities makes for evil combinations....

chain cont implosions, chain cont. storm of wrath

greater elemental summoning, globe of flaming death and globe of blades and greater whirlwind.

so I plan to make a special trip to watchers so when I polymorph anomen, I can curse him as well. a squirrel that does not sqeek! Perfect!

Ya know, the druid varient fighter druid is pretty damned awesome, though it would be nice to have higher str and wisdom.

Implosions and storm are 7th level priest spells, right? I am not sure, I recall distinctly trying and succeeding to put sunray, 7th level priest spell in chain cont. Course, I set condition to enemy instead of myslef so it fizzled, but it did trigger. you can put priest spells, in chain cont, and I think the engine sees it as 7th level spells for storm of wrath and implosions. I'll try it out, and post a new thread.

I think that druids are one of the greatest classes.
1) True neutral is a very fun class to play as.
2) The can fight, and summon, and cast spells.
3) There are plenty of great druid things out there.

I went through the game with a neutral party only. Totemic druid, jaheria, and jan. Oh and cernd. This party was not uber powerful, and neat to roleplay.
At the end of the game Dual wielded Spectral brand, and club of detonation wearing the red dragon plate wearing ring of fire resistance and of gaxx. Jaheria had the Staff of the ram +6 and the armour that gives +1 dex. With ring of the ram and helm of something, defense maybe. Jan wore Robe of Vecna, harpers amulet and mercykiller ring, had firetooth +5 and short sword of the mask.
Cernd had white dragon, Ixil's spear and helmet of balduran. It was a great time. Hacing three druids around made short work of nmes
The waves came crashing in like blindness.
So I just stood and listened.

Xyx, I was able to chain cont. 3 implosions together, and trigger on a poor unfortunate skeleton warrior, who promptly disappeared.

Chaining 3 storms would be as fun, but this reavealed aerie's biggest weakness.

she's not wise enough! damn it.

Wisdom directly effects spells castable for cleric, and while druids get that great super boost in spell slots at lvl 15, thus jaheira will be uber by end of my soa, I plan on hitting waatchers keep, aerie will only have 3 slots in 7th level priest spells with her current wisdom when I cap it. well, there is lum's machine and the gold ioun stone after killing demogorgy with the full tob patch....
