Do items save Permanently in game?

Post by sommiso »

Hi, I play the 360 version of Oblivion, and was wondering if any veteran players know whether or not the items disappear over time? I used to keep excess weapons and such in my houses over all the cities/towns.. I haven't played in a while, but recently started again. I visited my house on the Waterfront Docks in Imperial City and nothing was there.. where there used to be a ton of items from before.

If the items do disappear, is there a given time limit?

Thank you.

Should still be there...

If you stashed the items in a house that you paid for then the items should still be there. If you placed them in a random dwelling then they will eventually disappear.

As Gobatcha pointed out, containers in houses you own are safe, so maybe your stuff is in another one of your houses. Most other containers respawn their contents every three days. Similar thing happened to me - hadn't played in a while, went to the waterfront shack and all of the magic items I thought I had stashed there were gone. Then I remembered I had moved everything to my cool new house in Skingrad. Phew!
Can the answer to this question be "No"?
