A Brush With Death (BIGGEST GLITCH) (HELP NEEDED)!

Post by Mears101 »

On this quest you are dragged into a painting and into a strange landscape that you can't get out of. I've killed the painted trolls to go and get the key from the thief. I've returned the key to the painter (Rythe) then he is supposed to paint an exit. In some circumstances, an exit is not painted leavinga glitch of no way of getting out. This has happened to me. Rythe just stands there and the exit is not visible and cannot be used. This means after all the work I've done i'm stuck.
Is there anything I can do?
Has this happened to anyone else.
I also dont have a save before giving the key to rythe.
Bad i know.
Help??
Thanks
Luke

What platform are you playing on?
Sage plays a paladin,
because other classes would be frowned upon for laying their hands on a wounded companion

Don't forget multiple, frequent saves...

Playing on the X-Box won't allow you the use of the console as you could on the PC. No saves prior to entering the painting...that's bad news. I thought there was an 'auto-save' upon entering either the door to the house or the painting itself (or is that only on the PC version?) Check for the auto-save. If not then I hate to suggest starting over, but that's where I think you are heading. My final suggestion would be to target your question to an X-Box specific forum/website.
You've learned the painful lesson of video games: use multiple, frequent saves.
