Manual exp cap removal

Post by luz »

Hi,
Does anybody know a way to manually take off the exp cap on BG? The computer the game is installed on does not have internet access, so the patches are out of the question. Thanks!

As far as I know this can not be done without a patch/tool/mod. The CLUAConsole can change states, not change the game.
Sage plays a paladin,
because other classes would be frowned upon for laying their hands on a wounded companion

XPCap Removers do one thing: they put a file called XPCap.2da into the "override" folder.
Download an XPCap remover, get the file, open it with notepad or another text editor. You'll see the text written in it.

On the PC without internet access just use Notepad (or another editor) to create a *.txt file with the same content. Rename it to XPCap.2da and move it into the override folder.

Under the value column in the 2da mentioned above changed all the values to -1. This will remove the xp cap.
