Thinking of buying M IV.

Post by figulus »

Hi All ,
Was a big fan of m II & m III and have heard good things of m IV. problem
I've got is : Old machine , young daughter & small budget for upgrades!
Have saved enough for new graphics card and 1gb of ram and was wondering
wether anyone could tell me what the least expensive agp based nvidia card is that would run this game. (Have 2.1 gig athlon processor on xp pro)

Thanks for your time guys.

I would say Nvidia 7600GT. It will run on less, but then you would have to settle for less view distance, or some very palpable lag, thus ruining much of your experience.

2 GB of ram is a good idea too. Maybe you have noticed that over the last months, ram has become much cheaper.
