Shadow Ruins
I tried to save gave before entering the Shadow Ruins thinking I'd try to see if collector's edition would let me outback in. Well, I go to my saved game with shadow gate running before me and it disappears as I go up the steps. Is there any help for this or am I screwed?
If you placed the crystal in the altar, saved your game, and then loaded your game, then I think you're stuck. Hopefully you have another save you can go back to.

Sir Edmund: "Should you obey the lord who asks you to put a village of innocents to the torch? Is that chivalrous? Is it noble?"
Me: "It's a great way to get promoted, I know that much."

Is this true? I exited the shadow ruins ages ago because it was hard. The crystal is on the altar. When I come back is it going to be closed?
Oh no! I better not level anymore I'm already to 20 and I have few old saved saved games if any

Right Speech has four aspects: 1. Not lying, but speaking the truth, 2. Avoiding rude and coarse words, but using gentle speech beneficial to the listener, 3. Not slandering, but promoting friendliness and unity, 4. Avoiding frivolous speech, but saying only what is appropriate and beneficial.

I entered and even did one rune glyph thing. I came back and it is still open, thankfully. I guess that is not the case if you don't enter at all? I know how it is to get SOL though. I got trapped in fargrove castle basement because all the dumb guards tried to go through the door at the same time:laugh: . Had to go back to the beginning. Thats when I started using all 8 saves instead of just one.
