I recently reinstalled both of these and I'm havin trouble with the sound. Not the music adn the ambient sound, those play fine, but dialogue, weapon sounds, spell sounds, etc... occasionally drop away. Example: I see an NPC's circle flashing white when they're talking to me, but the music and ambient sounds plays fine, while I don't hear the NPC talking. Halfway the sentence, I start to hear it.
It's kind of annoying, so can anybody help me out?
I got a P4 1.8 Ghz, 1256 MB RAM, an nVidea Gforce 6200 and some onboard soundcard. However, I remember running the game on this same system and not having any sound issues.
Sounds like some of the data are corrupt or something. I ever encountered odd sounds in older games I've re-installed such as Brothers in Arms: Road to Hill 30 (pistol shooting sound going off twice when the trigger was pulled). Have you tried re-installing the game? It could help.
''They say truth is the first casualty of war. But who defines what's true? Truth is just a matter of perspective. The duty of every soldier is to protect the innocent, and sometimes that means preserving the lie of good and evil, that war isn't just natural selection played out on a grand scale. The only truth I found is that the world we live in is a giant tinderbox. All it takes...is someone to light the match" - Captain Price
This is the second time I've installed the games on this config, and the second time I have this problem. The sound issues happen at random times, not at specific places or such.
