Tunic and Robe a bug?

Post by kahelag »

Hi, This is the second time around I'm playing this game. I have Rev. 1.06.

Both times I played this game as a sorcerer (Drow/Wood elf), both times I can not wear the Neverwinter Nine Tunic and the Robe of Archmage. Both items are in Red which to me means I can not wear them. This has to be a bug???

dying is easy, its living that scares me today.....

Probably not.

You must be a member of the NW9 to wear the armor, that is, you must take a level in that prestige class.

If you read carefully, each archmage armor is specific to each alignment: Good, Neutral, and Evil. If you are not of the alignment of the one you have you won't be able to wear it (unless you have high UMD).

Hope this helps.

Neverwinter Nine Tunic

Thank for the info and the help.

But if you are honored to be a Neverwinter Knight and be a Nine and if you swear your Legion to Neverwinter you should be able wear it. If not then this is a bug and a patch should be made to fix this.

Heh, I doubt they will do that, but you can just take 1 level in the class to wear the tunic. It's actually a pretty useful prestige class.

Now that I think about it, Nasher does offer you a position as a NW9 member, if you take it you automatically take the level. It's only req. is base attack +6, and all classes should have that by this point in the game.

Tunic/Robe

Hi again, I looked very hard and did not find anything as a prerequsite for this tunic. What class do I have to be in order to wear this tunic?? Now another problem came up. I can not wear the Grey Robe of Archmage? I have all the requirements, what up with this? Have a nice weekend...

I did not join the NW9 immediately upon being offered it (largely on account of not being near a level up), but it becomes available should you accept it....

Grey robe of the Archmage has alignment requirements: Lawful Neutral, (True) Neutral, and Chaotic Neutral are the only ones that may wear it (without having Absurd ranks in Use Magic Device)....

Black robe of the Archmagi has similar requirements, except that only EVIL aligned characters may wear it (Lawful Evil, such as Ammon; Neutral Evil, or Chaotic Evil).

Good aligned personages (Lawful good, Neutral Good or Chaotic) Use the White Robe of the Archmagi.

THere is a recipe for it, but I don't remember exactly what, other than Glowing Power and all four of the elemental essences (Earth, air, fire, water) at radiant.

Tunic/Robe

Hi, you right!!! it was the wrong robe. What I can't understand is if your character is what ever, the items found should be to your advanage and then your companions. Just like the tunic. If someone is selected into the Neverwinter Nine, they should be able to wear it. Don't you think???
Thanks again..
