SOU Help: Problems with Deelkin possible spoliers

Okay I have Deekin as a henchmen in the interlude and second chapter of SOU and am having a huge problem with him. When he dies, if he dies I can find no way to get him back into my party, I can not talk to him and if I try anything else like healing him he attacks me. This is also he problem I'm having at the start of the second chapter. When I wake up he is not part of my group and again there seems no way to get him back into it. Is this a bug is there anything I can do? Please help I like Deekin and I don't want to kill him

Is your game fully patched?

I've got the new update that goes with Diamond edition that allows me to play on-line, though some rooms I can't play cause it says I'm missing a chat function or something like that. So as far I know yes, unless there is something I'm missing.
