What Kind Of Company Sells Such A Mega Glitched Game!??

Post by BigRich »

I bought this game at Walmart for 10 bucks...cool. :)
Went to go play it... and its just been one problem after another.
I have the collectors edition.. and some of the problems I've been having are:

I'm always getting stuck... one time i loaded the game and got my head stuck in a chandaler in a tavern.

Sometimes the game minimizes on me and I can't get back into it. ... Or if I alt-tab the game.. same problem... cant get it back... not cool :(

When I go onto gamespy it always says i have an invalid cd key no matter how many ways i put it in... :speech:

And other glitches...... but i've worked around them.

Anybody have any suggestions?
Are they planning on patching this game still or is it a lost cause?
....Arghh

Hi there:

Well, I don't think anybody will argue that the game is glitched...it has been discussed before. :)

Dungeon Lords does not support task switching, nor can you alt-tab to your desktop and back into the game. The manual states that, and that all background programs (Internet browsers, email and chat programs and the like) should be shut off before playing. When a background task starts, the game will crash to desktop.

Pretty sure the CE is the final version, so not sure what to suggest really. I believe the company is being sold (or may have been sold already) to Jowood and I haven't come across any further news regarding plans for the game.

I can't say I have ever gotten stuck in a chandelier, how did you manage that?! ;) :D

I think some people are having trouble with Gamespy telling them their CD keys are invalid. Multiplayer is a pretty glitchy with this particular game.

BigRich, you can try doing a forum search for keywords like "gamespy" or "CD key". If you go to the top right hand corner of the forum page you will see a search button. Click on advanced search, enter your keywords and select Dungeon Lords as the subforum to search through. Then you won't have results from other games to sift through, just this game. I know other people have posted here about similiar problems but I don't have time to do the searching and reading through.

Or, try connecting with a friend via IP address, or over a LAN.

Get in touch with the publishers, or the developers. If they have a forum, do a search on tech support. If they don't, write them. They should help you with that.

Well, as mentioned this is a problem other posters have discussed, I just don't remember the particulars, so you could still try doing a search.

You can also try searching at the Dreamcatcher forums:

Trouble

I have had other products of gamebanshee and never had this much trouble till dlce it is a good game and I enjoy it.The only thing I can say is that I do hope that they plan to remedy the glitches with an update.Especially when you cant load a saved game.

Uh, GameBanshee covers a lot of games, but we're not responsible for any of them. Dungeon Lords was developed by Heuristic Park and published by DreamCatcher Interactive.

The game is over a year old now, and there aren't going to be any more patches. If you only have Vista available to you, then I'd recommend you take the game back, if you still can.
