Possible to kill Ming with unarmed?

Post by shadow9d9 »

I spent quite a good amount of time pumelling her for about 2-16 damage and after much much time I have gotten her to about 2/3... it is taking FOREVER... plus it seems like I cannot attack the small clones of her...

The problem isn't me dieing, it is getting her to die.

Killing Ming...

Well, anything is possible, but...
Killing Ming Xiao with bare fists just doesn't seem feasible. I mean, I did kill her once unarmed, with a Gangrel character. But with Fortitude 5, Protean 5, and blood buff, is a different story. And it still takes sometime, but she doesn't defend that well against aggravated damage, so the claw attack's good. But she has tremendous bashing soak, so, bare fists aren't a good idea. I've also killed Ming with a Brujah character and the Bush Hook, but with high Potence, Celerity 5 and I also had high Presence (makes Ming weaker) it's also a different story.
It's a frustating mission you're trying to accomplish (Beat Ming unarmed), you'll need lots of blood, and still, I would not recommend it.

Try Tremere. I haven't touched or used a weapon on Ming in over a year.

Crouch before you teleport down. After her announcment, she can't see you. Shuffle around her right side close to the wall, to the alcove next to the fire in the back. While still crouched, turn back to Ming.

Then use Suicide on her, and then Blood Strike to get your blood back. Repeat until done. It doesn't take long, you never take a scratch, and if you time it right, you leave without using any blood but hers. Oh, and forget about the spawn. Since you never take anything off her, she can't do that :-)

Poor design choice to have a major boss be mostly immune to a form of attack when the game encourages you to choose a type of attack. Thanks for the advice.

The game hardly forces you to keep to only one form of attack. You should have picked up enough XP and free raises of skills by that time to be extremely competent in one form of attack, and moderately so in two others, plus have one, if not two disciplines maxed out.

The flamethrower, even if you don't have a high firearms skill, can get Ming's lifebar down quite a bit, as can up close use of firearms. That you are specialised in a certain fighting style, doesn't mean you should use it to the exclusion of all others.
