Cheats..Spoilers

This might be old news....but if you have downloaded the final patch..you can use the Cheats just like in BG1 and BG2.

If anyone is interested I will post a link to it.

NEW FEATURE

Using Notepad or another text editor, open the 'icewind.ini' file in your
game directory (default: C:\Program Files\Black Isle\Icewind Dale)
and locate the line that says "[Game Options]". If you wish to use the
feature mentioned below, enter the text found within the quotes (but not
the quotes themselves) on to their own line:

"Show Quest XP=1"
This will display the actual amount of experience points you receive when
completing quests.

For example:

[Game Options]
Show Quest XP=1
... etc ...

I don't think all the codes work. Plus a lot of items are different. Theres a good list of them on another site.

Can someone tell me on what page in the manual the max. game exp. is???

I found this on Bucks site... Icewind Dale did increase this to 1,801,000,

Buck has the newest patch on the GB IWD page...I'm e-mailing you the zip file with the codes and it tells how to start CLUAC...

Weasel; Thanks for the Email. I forgot about the patch

Edit: Actually I have this patch (applied it to IWD). Whenever I try CLUAC.... or CHEATERSDO.... I get 'Nice try cheater' in the text box..

What am I doing wrong?? (I have the proper line in my .ini file and the 'enable cheat console' box checked in my config.....).

yes, pls post the link. i just got the 2nd level of dragon eye, and there area with 7 trolls and 4 clerics keeps handing my azz to me. help!!! if this was BGII id just go somewhere else and get some more xp. but this game doesn't seem to offer that option. =(

i got bored and did a search in this forum and found a link to cheats.

and i tried the reguler cheats. they didn't work. i get nice try cheater. how do you know what version of the game your running is? also when you update the game with HoW it adds a check box in the config menu, that allows you to enable the the cheat console. it seems like it adds the cheats=1 into the icewind.ini for you. anyone know what i need to do to get these cheats working?

They changed the command for the expansion apparently.
WARNING THIS IS FOR HoW ONLY
What I found was to change the ini. file as previously stated , add the Cheats =1 under game options; access the menu by [ctrl] + [tab]; then instead of CHEATERSDOPROSPER, type "GETYOURCHEATON:Enable CheatKeys()"
without the qoute marks. The other commands should be the same i.e. [Ctrl + R]to heal selected character

last night i was so frustrated i downloaded dale keep. wow what a cool program. im going to download the version for BGII tonight.
