Helm of Lords

Post by Brown21 »

I know it is widely known that this is found in Big Bad Mog's hut. I also found the Deathlord Plate and high level shoulders(haven't identified yet but give penalty) in the chest to the right. I guess I say this because it would now be a good idea to get a high level but useable armour from the Fire Drake area (like the Black Plate) since there is no way you can use Deathlord plate that early in the game anyway. Then when you are closer to being able to use the Deathlord plate you can get it at Big Bad Mogs safehouse, whilst wearing a better level armour than the regular plate. Now if I could just find some nice gauntlets, boots etc. I wouldn't look like such a knob. Silver legs and shoulders, a golden helm, and black plate looks pretty goofy with the shield of Anguish.

Clashing armour

Welcome to the forum..... :)

Trying to get complete medium or high level armour sets early in the game is tough. Later in the game you will find several high level chests in the temples and tombs you'll visit. You might have to reload your game time and time again though to get that last piece of the set, can be time consuming and frustrating. :( Can happen with weapons too. You may get a good one right away and be tempted to see what else might pop out and after many reloads you find the first weapon was the one you wanted after all :D

Yes, Welcome!

I think you'll find that a great many experienced players will forgo the "best" armor in favor of armor that doesn't "clash". :p

My last character (Lizard), had the kasa of night "helm", mythnir mail & leggings, assassin shoulder armor, gloves and boots of the deathlord, and a warder belt. It wasn't as appalling as it sounds.. :D , he did after all have dark gray-green skin. ;)

Naga Temple

Is there any good stuff here? I thought I hit the Jackpot as I found a new cool looking sword. It turns out it was the Radiant sword (4-10 damage). What a bummer. Back to the Barbtongue Runeblade for another few hours I guess.

I don't recall picking up any great items in the Temple of the Naga. I found some staffs, sceptres, swords and dwarven axes with magical properties but nothing better than the runeblade. I didn't find any good heavy armour either, now that I think about it. The stuff I did keep I sold in Arindale. :p

Shoulders

The shoulders that I got with the Deathlord Plate are the Dragon Shoulders. Pretty nice haul. Especially since it was the first time I opened the Chest.
