Post by VWzealot »

Man does this game seem insanly hard to anyone one else besides me? Maybe im just so used to fighting mage spells from bgII. I hate cheating, but there was no way in hell I could have got past dragon eye 3 without a few presnts from dale keeper. And levels 4 and 5 not being able to rest really sucked. Level 5 with no place to sleep at all I have to scout with my thief and open up boxes, see if there was anything woth fighting for. If not id just reload it. Then like 3 times I had to run back to level 4 to rest after getting whooped on. Is my party all wrong?

Human fighter dueled at level 7 to be a thief
Human pladian
Halfling thief
Elven cleric
Elven mage
Dwarf fighter/cleric

Well what levels are they? Do they have bad armor and weapons on them? Otherwise, no.

Your party looks fine, and the problems you're having are in no way unusual for that area. I've played through it on Insane mode, and it gets worse with each level.

Remember, IWD is all about endless battles. If you want a more strategic game with diverse, non-linear goals, and many approaches to the same problems, consider BG2.

You're a p*ssy. Image

This game *is* hard but I don't believe you have to cheat to beat dragons eye.

Tactics my good man, tactics.

Don't let them rile you: the deeper reaches of Dragon's Eye are one interminable assault after another. I think it's the most boringly linear thing in the game. Just expect to sleep and heal a lot, and keep area spells handy. Image

I posted some tactics up. Feel free to voice your disapproval. They carried me through the game twice and I think they'll work well with HoW if I adjsut them.

Happy hunting Image
