Hi I am pretty new to the game and i was wondering if a good class combination would be a Fighter, Adept Knight, Paladin Lord
and using this combination the style that i would like to try is putting some really good armour on him and power through things with a big weapon, what would be a good heavy weapon for me to use and where would i find it. Also how would i go about building him up stats and skills wise.

That sounds like a great combo! If you're still in Fargrove than don't worry about finding the best weapon YET! You won't be able to obtain the heavy weapons skill until later.
As for stats: Make Strength, Dexterity, and Vitality your priority stats but be sure to put the most points into Strength. As for the rest of the stats, spend enough points on them to meet the class requirements. Skillwise: spend just enough points on the weapon and armor skills to be able to use the equipment you find w/o any penalty. I try not to spend points on skills until I have at least one or two second tier classes. If you select a class that has a learning bonus to a skill than it won't cost as much to raise that skill.
