Severed Hand machine pieces

Post by Drigan »

Far as I know I found the 4 pieces needed an gave them to the guy who is to fix the machine, Larrel still won't talk to me, so I must be missing a piece. Does anyone know where the pieces are located? If so could you let me know, as I am now just redoing it all an still coming up with no hits for the missing piece.

As far as I know, there are only 4 pieces. Did the guy you gave the pieces to tell you to come back? I think you have to talk to him more than once. Then you should see the machine start to work and Larrel will become coherent.

@SilentRom: Lucky for you I had exactly the same problem as you did......I thought I had found all the pieces....but I hadn't.....
The piece that I had missed and that I think you are looking for is found among the "Skeletons"......
On the floor where the stairs lead to the first floor of the "Shadow Elves" and the same floor where you meet those nasty "Skeletons and their "mages" there is some sort of "lift" that leads down to another floor with skeletons.....on this floor you can find a piece to the machine.....

Hope you understand what I mean.....and I hope that helps......

@SilentRom: Hmmm....well then I don't know....
I'm sure I gave the guy 5 pieces....could be wrong because I read somewhere that it needs 4 pieces.....
Just keep on looking......have you got HoW installed???
If so do you use the "Alt" key to "see" chests, doors and equipment???

IIRC you only need 4 pieces. One is with the "monsters". One is with the Elven ghost in the armory, and the other two are in chests/on tables.
Like I said though IIRC.

Thanks for the help folks, it turns out my problem was that I had to give th pieces in the indenticle pattern that I picked them up in. I had to set them on the floor first an then pick up each piece individually an hand them to the guy, but I couldn't have a second piece on me. Otherwise it would take it, but not give me credit for it. I figured it out after about the 5 try, after finding all four pieces first. Not sure if any of you had this particular problem.

Sorry don't have HoW installed yet.
