Thoughts on groupforming..your opinion please..

Hello!
I have been reading a bit about NWN and I think I will really get addicted to the game, as I am now to BG 1 & 2. I really like the idea of exploring new areas with a group of human players. I noticed a lot of guilds are being formed on this forum but what I find curious is that they are based on class only. I suppose the guild members will form groups to go exploring the Sword Coast together. So you would have groups of wizards, groups of barbarians and groups of jesters walking around for example. Now wouldn’t it be nice to also have players with similar alignments forming something like guilds. Of course you couldn’t call them guilds because a guild is a group of people with the same profession, you would have to pick another name..
There are lots of ways to form groups. By class for example, like guilds, but one could also imagine groups of similar race (the seven dwarves) or gender (the woman’s domination society, the gentlemen only club), but I think alignment is a good characteristic to base you group membership on. You could have a bunch of wizards working a dungeon, but if some of them are chaotic evil and others are lawful good, there are bound to be some internal conflicts, I think. I think it would be good to have associations of like-minded people next to the guilds. An existing example would be the Harpers, who strife for balance in the world (neutral alignment). Now in BG the harpers were all druids, but I think you can be both a member of a guild, where you learn the secrets of your trade, and of a ‘political faction’, where you can go on missions that you all agree on.
I am afraid I did not read all posts in this forum, so the idea might have been brought up before. Still, I would like to know what your opinion is.
I myself wouldn’t mind being a member of a secret society of anarchists…
Greetings,
MM
