(Spoiler) Help with Game Play screen closing

Spoiler*** I really don't know how to explain this problem, but I will try to the best of my knowledge.

I am sure everyone understands that when you open anything up in windows desktop screen, it has a tab at the bottom of the screen along the bottom bar next to the system tray. With this section you can right click to close it or click it to bring it up on the screen or take it back down into the tray.

Well my problem starts there. When I am playing the game and I think it happens to all my NWN Diamond Edition games, like the modules and expansions. but, when I am playing the game, for some reason the screen will close to the tray at the bottom and take me straight to the desktop and then I will have to click it at the bottom of the desktop sreen to open the game up again to continue playing.

When this happens it pauses the game, which makes me think the game settings are aware of this and causing the problem for some unknown reason.

I really need help with this as I am getting tired of this happening. Can anyone help.

So - basically the game minimizes itself constantly?

Do you by any chance run Norton Anti-virus/firewall/protection suite?
If you do try to disable that (especially the Auto-protect feature) and script blocking. If not, then if you run another type of Anti virus which have similar features, try disabling those.
