save, save, save

save often, i know it's a pain, but that is the best way around losing your exp.
i had a hard time too, in the beginning, but as you build your char it gets easier. try to fight goblins in the start area till you are lvl4 or something before you try the sewer. stay close to the campfire and you will be fine. save often.
if it's still too much you may try to use the editor available ont the first page of forums, but dont get carried away, or you'll ruin the whole game for yourself by making it too easy. remember you can change the difficulty setting as you go, start on easy and move it up as you lvl. good luck, and we are here if you need help. :>

not sure what you mean by "trainer." if you mean editor you can find it here http://www.gamebanshee.com/forums/dunge ... 72087.html
if you read all or most of the posts you won't really need instructions. sorry if thats not what you want but...

save often. But if you lose xp no big deal just kill more of the endlessly spawning monsters.
Right Speech has four aspects: 1. Not lying, but speaking the truth, 2. Avoiding rude and coarse words, but using gentle speech beneficial to the listener, 3. Not slandering, but promoting friendliness and unity, 4. Avoiding frivolous speech, but saying only what is appropriate and beneficial.

There are multiple "trainers" built into the game itself.. IF you know how and where to use the game.

1. At the goblin shack at the beginning (in the opposite direction of Fargrove).

2. In the "sewers" area you have those boxes stacked high after the goblin crossbow section. Don't break them.. Jump up to the top and use a bow.

3. Next to the "Arms of Argus" (fighter's guild in Fargrove).

4. The "slums" (aka thieves quarter of Fargrove).

5. The Arena in Skuldoone.

6. In the Elder Trials - various ghost spawn points.

7. Moonbeast Island.

8. The Minotaur spawn in the Maze.

The most important of the group is #3 and #7.

My suggestion:

1st - Put your options setting (from the "Menu" section) on *Easy* and *Less* monster encounters at the beginning of the game.

2nd - Run through the sewers as fast as you can without opening any chests. The goblins you kill on the overhang bridge system at the beginning will provide a bow. You'll need it. Just beyond that point at the drawbridge (once you have the key found at the lower level), just jump over the crossbow and head up to the Theater. Run through the Theater and get the elevator lift arm - attach it and head upstairs. Go up to the balcony section and use the bow to shoot the two mages on the theater floor. One of the mages will be the one with the fire staff and the key. Jump down from the balcony and get their drops (specifically the key). Run back upstairs and leave the theater.

3rd - go to the area with the chained troll in Fargrove (near Hetta the Fortune Teller). First make sure there are guards somewhat near where you are before you attack the troll. *SAVE YOUR GAME*. Now go into the options menu and put the monster difficulty on *Difficult*. Load back up your saved game. Now attack the troll with a bow shot (which will release it). Move back to the alleyway until you have a guard or two to attack the troll. Then help them out by picking away at it with your bow. Save your game after it is dead. Then go back into the options menu and change the monster difficulty level back to *Easy*. Spend some of your new experience points to get your vitality up to at least 20, and one skill point in archery as well as dexterity and Agility up to 20 (..to hit more often with the bow).

4th - Go to #3 (right outside the Arms of Argus). Here there are 2 guards to do most of the work for you. Keep your character near the steps to the Arms of Argus AND facing the path to the alley-way that leads to the "Slums" entrance. Save your game. Now go back in and change the setting to *More* in the monster spawn section of the options menu. Start the game back up with the save. Thieves should start coming at your character in "waves" - hit just one with the bow (somewhat near a guard). The guards will then start fighting the thieves. Circle around the melee, trying to hit at least once **each** thief with the bow (..arrows of course). One hit (for each thief) will provide you with the experience points for the thieves that the guards will kill. Of course in this "mix" will be rats and snakes as well, with different types of thieves. The Thieves in particular will drop gold and heal potions - be sure to pick them up after each fight. After your are comfortable with this routine - then save your game again and go into the options menu and change the monster spawn difficulty to *Difficult*. Rinse and repeat. You can do this effectively up to about level 8. Once you have finished here be sure to set the monster spawn back to *Less* (but if you are fairly confidant in your skills you can keep it still at *Difficult*, otherwise adjust the difficulty as desired).

5th - after level 8 plus, attributes up to at least 25 (more for Strength and Intelligence), and some needed skills - then go to the Celestial Order in Fargrove and move forward with the plot. *IF* you want to push even further in level then you can just go into catacombs and get the horn (by the most direct route) - proceeding as quickly as possible to open-up Fargrove so that you can leave it.

6th - Before leaving Fargrove - make sure you have substantially increased your cash position by mixing and reselling poison clouds at the apothecary. (I typically spend enough experience points here to get the skill Bargain to 3 and after completing the King's quest - making sure that the attribute Honor is at at least 25.)

7th - Next I complete the first guild quest for either the Adept and/or the Mage. (..which opens up the spells available for purchase from that particular guild.) Then I spend that cash on multiple damage spells, and some experience points on the particular skill discipline needed to cast the spell without penalty. (..usually Lightning for Celestial - level 5, or Whirlwind for Mage craft - level 4.)

8th - With lots of damage spell power I can go get my second tier class(s).

9th - After obtaining all my first and second tier classes - with no further need for Fargrove.. THEN I go to either Moonbeast Island OR the Elven trials.
