Interplay in trouble? What will happen to NWN?
Oh dear oh dear.

(I personaly blame companies like Blizzard for ruinging the RPG genre, but thats a different matter.)

I second that Aegis. After Planescape Torment and the Baldur's Gate series, NWN is the next gift from the Gods to a languishing RPG world. It will be a crying shame if it doesn't materialise.

All I can say is that I hope that NWN does not end up on the vaporware pages. I really want this game to get developed and produced. We've all been waiting too long for it!!!
"Think on this, arrogant mageling: even the mightiest archmage has no spells strong enough to let him cheat death. Some take the road of lichdom... a living death. The rest of us find graves, and our dust is no grander than that of the next man. So when next you lord it over some farmer with your fireballs, remember: we all master spells enough to die"

I really hope Xandax and Mike are right and I'm wrong.
I don't mean to raise a false alarm on this board. I work in a bank; and from the little I do know, a high leverage without the necessary returns as in Interplay's case is usually a recipe for disaster.
Let's wish that it doesn't happen; at least not until NWN is released

NWN has already been a huge investment. The game would very nearly be shippable if the designers weren't bent on improving the quality any way they can. I don't see this project ending up in a corporate dustbin. Maybe fund cuts will significantly reduce the quality of the eventual release, but I can't imagine Bioware not putting this product up for sale after putting so much effort into it.
