Regen and Plate Mail +2

Post by Vantucci »

So, anyone know why regeneration does not work with Full Plate +2? Is there a way to fix this or is it how it's supposed to be?

Regeneration doesn't work with Plate Mail +2?

All I know is... I was noticing Korgan was not regenning his health. I tried changing rings, etc. Nothing. So I took everything he was wearing off except ring of Gaxx. He started regenning. I put one thing on at a time to check to see if it would stop regen. As soon as I put the Full Plate +2 on the regen stopped. As soon as I took it off, the regen started again. So yea they don't work together for some reason.

That's odd. If you don't get an answer up here, I would suggest posting on the Gibberings Three or Pocket Plane Group boards. They have a few modders who do a lot of work with objects in the game, and might be able to help out. They are also all-round good sturdy fellows and helpful types, whenever possible. :)

I've had a look at all the full plate and full platemail files in the Infinity Engine Editor and can't see any reason for this to happen. None of them disable regeneration, however both the FP +2 and FPM +2 reduce movement by 2 points and THACO by one point, no other FP or FPM do this.

Maybe the disabling of regen is an undocumented side effect of one of these effects. Whatever, having seen what they do (regen aside) I'd never wear them. Never have strangely, even though I hadn't noticed the bad effects before, always had something better to wear I guess.

I just got doomplate +3 so decided to wear that instead of the FP +2.

Thanks for the info.
