Maximum number of heraldries?

I have run into a potential problem. I have nine heraldries and am on the way to having two more available to me. The statistic screen only shows a slot for one more though. Even though it appears I can only get one more, can I still get the benefit of both of them should I complete the requirements for them?

If it makes any difference, my character is a fighter, adept, valkyrie, samurai, and I am questing to become a hatamoto. The heraldries I have are:
The Lady and the Lion
The Astrologer
The Warrior
the Night Walker
The Tiger
The Protector
The Master
The Noble
The Knave of Swords

I just finished the sisterhood quest to kill Karugis, which gives me the ability to gain The Angel heraldry. Once I gain the Hatamoto class, I will be able to get The Eagle heraldry. I would rather have the Eagle, but if it is possible to have both I would like that chance. I suppose if I need to avoid the sisterhood until I become a Hatamoto I will.

So, any thoughts?

I'm pretty sure you lose one of your heraldries if you gain too many. I'm also pretty sure there was a discussion about this a long time ago, so you might try searching the forum for it.

Yeah, it looks like I lost the Knave of Swords. Oh well. I don't particularly feel like avoiding the Sisterhood for the rest of the game in order to keep it.
