New to game, started as a fighter. Now in Fargrove after sewers and theater.
Due to painful way of item identification,I would like to pick up ID skill as soon as possible (playing collector's edition).
It would seem that the only way to do this would be by joining one of the other three guilds.
So:-
1.Would I get ID skill if I join guild of thieves as a Rogue?
2.Do any of the guilds give you ID skill in your second first tier class?
3.Is it really worth changing the development path of my character to get ID skill or can he happily live without it later in the game?
4.Which second first tier guild would you reccomend for a melee-based fighter character.
I've done various searches and consulted Gamebanshee walkthrough but I'm still confused!
Thanks in advance for any answers and guidance,L.S.

You can look at the 'classes' section here.
You can plan your character developement way there, and see which classes have the ID skill.
I don't play CE but I'm sure that the ID skill is just like 1.4: Handy, but not crucial. If you don't get the ID skill you'll simply have to ID things at shops (It doesn't cost much) and have the slight disadventage of not being able to use better equipment found far from shops. Because you wouldn't know what the equipment reqs are and what the benefits (if any) would be.

You don't need ID but some 2nd tier have it. Rogue is weak
The mage classes get ID on 2nd tier (at least sorceror does) you might check them out. Arcane Magic is very powerful.
Rogue isn't the strongest. If you have the time to kill them with backstab (you get nether summons distracting or they frozen with arcane) then you could probably just kill anway without backstab. Ranged combat isn't rewarded except in a couple of places where you kill high xp oponents in an unreachable location.
I don't know if any celestial classes get ID? I'm curious about celestial I haven't tried it as much. I like my blast nova too much
Fighter doesn't. But is great due to getting weapons and armor skills. celestial/mage is probably a strong combo (with one or both battlemage or paladin for some fighting)...but fighter with either celestial or arcane is also good because the beginning of the game is easier when you can wear some heavy armor and wield the strongest weapons you find.
But you really don't need ID gold is not hard to come by just pay to identify. The only place you need identify maybe is in the sewers. You can still equip unidentified items just research on gamebanshee what stats you need to wear them with no penalties.
Plus with experience you can fight your way through the sewers naked maybe just a shortsword (which doesn't degrade).

Right Speech has four aspects: 1. Not lying, but speaking the truth, 2. Avoiding rude and coarse words, but using gentle speech beneficial to the listener, 3. Not slandering, but promoting friendliness and unity, 4. Avoiding frivolous speech, but saying only what is appropriate and beneficial.
