I am at the pont in the game where you lace the shadowslayer sword "into the hands of his statue (#3a) in the Statue Room". I did that and his ghost did appear.
The gudie then says "When you do that, Kingston will appear next to you, and he’ll show you how to navigate the shadow gates in the room. Just go through each gate that he leads you to." I do that - again and again and again - like 100 times in a row.
The gudie then says "Once you’ve navigated the shadow gates, you’ll end up in yet another set of those island mazes in the shadow realm. " Nope - never get there, no matter how many times I follow the knight though the door it ALWAYS leads me back to the same room - I never get to the shadow lands...
I've reloaded to a place where I fill the wraths attaking his ghost, go though the dialogue again, when and place the sword into the statue again - same thing - the game will not advance pst this point.
You've obviously seen our walkthrough. Have you tried going through the gates indicated in the walkthrough? The walkthrough shows the proper route.

Once you’ve navigated the shadow gates, you’ll end up in yet another set of those island mazes in the shadow realm. To exit, take the eastern gate, then the southern gate, then the southern gate, then the southern gate, and then the northern gate. That last gate will put you on top of the pedestal in the Statue Room, and activating the rune glyph there (#4) will lower the pedestal
The problem I am facing is leaving the Statue Room - I never get the exit into the Shadow Realms - and hence I can never get "top of the pedestal in the Statue Room".
The only gate guide is for navigating the shadow realms (ESSSN) which dosn't apply to navigating the gates in the Staue room which has TWO DOORS in each of the directions. I am sorry if I am missing something here...
I just ralized that the subject I gave to this post may be causing some confusion. I titlted this thread " Stuck in Shadow Realm..." while a more acurate description would have been "Stuck in Statue Room..." as I can't eit the staue room into the shadow realm ( in order to return to the top of the pesistle.)

I had not noticed the door labels before. Now that you pointed them out I see them both at the bottom of the page, and at the bottom of the Statue room section- I hope it works! Thankyou
I do suggest that the writers of the guide put a note in the Staue room section about the door sequence ( E1, E2, E3 and E4 ) - Yes it is in the guide - but only at the bottom of the page and the bottom of the sectin about the room - if you follow the directions line by line, then it just say to follow the ghost - there is nothing there saying the ghost dosn't always point at the right door or that you can use the gate sequence at the bottom of the section.
