Problem with plot/quest liniarity - Chapter 2 spoiler

Post by Xandax »

I was running about Vizima(sp?) doing stuff, and waiting to do the autopsy on the "prisoner", when I entered the cemetery and the crypt and found the body of the real Raymond, and found that this action apparently completed not only the autopsy quest but a couple of more quests.

Was just wondering how much content I skipped by going to the cemetery at that time, as there was no clue that it would skip the content.

Well, I know I skipped some content as several quests (3 or so) where updated when I found the real Raymond (and yes, I know it is the real one), and some of those quests I had not done yet.

I just found it odd that I could skip/miss other content/quests like that, by going to complete another quest.

There's more than one way to do some things. You can decide that the wrong person is guilty, etc. Finding the corpse in the crypt is just the easiest way to prove that all the suspects are innocent, but you can also try to prove it for every one individually.

What puzzled me more was that I do not recall any leads leading into the crypt, other then a conversation option popping up with the gravekeeper.
I wonder if I missed it, or whether it isn't there?

How do you actually get to the graveyard? There seems to be no quest line to it. I read somewhere that you need to prove thaler or vincent innocent to get in, but vincent is already guilty in my game, and I don't know what to do abut thaler... I don't have a quest that tells me to go to the graveyard anyway=/

Indeed. Either Thaler or Vicent needs to provide you with access to let you past the gravekeeper. However, I do not recall proving Thaler (completely) innocent, but by talking to him - being on his good side and all - I managed to get an dialog option to clear the keepers debts.

But the dialog option with the gravekeeper just popped up, and I explored it (in one game) thus skipping the "autopsy" path.
