Where to Use BENT "L" Key?

Hello fellow "sucked into the pool" adventurers! I have a 'Bent "L" key' aka
"bent and tarnished scrap" but have over-
written the saved game where I flagged the
location to use it (in the "Main Halls").
Does anyone know where the matching lock is?

PS My "fighter" is a 1/2 Orc Barbarian. It's early in the game but so far I love this
guy! Using his "cleave" feat? he often takes
out 2 baddies at a time! 2 thumbs up!

If I remember correctly. It is the Lizardman chieftan that drops that key, right?. It opens a chest in the same room you defeat him.

But there are soo meny darn keys in that game, its hard to keep track of e'm

Thanks for the assistance exalted wanderer! Unfortunately my party leader knows not where the heroic battle with the
lizard leader took place. One too many blows to the head, I suspect. Looks like it's back to searching rooms one by one looking for unopened chests.
This could take a very ... very ... long time...
He now knows however that keys are almost
always secreted near their lock and promises
to thoroughly search any room where one is
found!

the chest is in the main halls.

if you think that is bad go to the catacombes you get many keys there.

you can get to the lizard battle area from going south-south-east from the crossroads in the eastern main halls
