ch2 guard captain??

All the guards say that the captain is telling them not to let me through gates (like to dike, or the hospital, or other places). And they all have a signet option. so it sounds like there's a quest line somewhere involving this mysterious captain, only I can't find him...

I know I can just bribe them, but I'd like to know if there's another way, especially if it has some quests, hehe

The Dike is for example possible by befriending Sigfied from Knights of the Flaming Rose in the sewers.

If/when you clear Vincent the Guard Captain, he also gives you a signet ring, which possible could give you access to the Dike as well, but I do not know.
(He's located near the gate to the Trade quater, but only in the day time)

The guard to the hospital I just bribed, wasn't that expensive, but I would figure Sigfrieds ring would work.

Sigfried won't talk to me, even though I befriended him in the sewers and he's standing right by Dike.. Odd, a bug I guess..

If Siegfried is standing besides the Dike ports, try talking to the Guards there.
That's what I did - didn't talk to Siegfried.

But it could also be you are "too late" for that

Do you know what happens if you tell Siegfried that you only work alone? Does he still give you a ring? I am trying to figure out if I thought it was just a piece to fence off and sold it? I guess I can try bribing the guards if that doesn't work. One already got pissed when I offered 50 oren and won't talk to me

Its hard to walk that fine line between affording 5000 oren armor and lubing everyone with bribes/keeping enough grease/alcohol on hand...but thats kind of fun too. Enchanting....
