Hello again,
After I completed the OC with my halfling monk (he rocked! ) I'm now going to run solo though the game with a sorc. But while running around with my monk I may have found an unlimited xp bug.
As I haven't found any recording of such a thing on the forums and nothing about it on the walkthough of gamebanshee I might just be the one who found it... Ohhh
Anyway about the location. I wanted to upload a picture (map) but it was too big so I refer to the picture on the walkthrough of gamebanshee. I'm talking about the one of the "Tomb of the betrayers":

The room I will refer to is the one with the pressure plate far north-east in the map and referred to as location 2.
The walkthrough says that if you have another partymember stand on the pressure plate the door opens but if you don't and walk towards the door two tomb guards may appear that turn hostile. These guys are somewhat harder to defeat than the average thug but still easily doable (at that character level). Once you defeated them you receive either around 58 or around 75 xp. And you can walk back and forth to summon unlimted(?) tomb guards and so unlimited (legal) xp.
It's much easier to DebugMode 1 and give the xp but if you're against cheating this might be a more mind-soothing alternative.

Unless this has been fixed in a patch...
Not as I know... that place will spawn those critters as long as all the requirements meet, provided you do not reload into that map. You can save an continue your progress, but as soon as you reload into it (either from a save game or exiting and reentering) they stop spawning. You should get unlimited xp in this manner, I believe, and they are worth quite abit at the level you might usually encounter them, as I recall...

Technically, it's arguable that its a bug. The continually respawning protectors/guards are a safe-mechanism of the particular dungeon room. That thriumphing over them battle gains you xp is a game mechanism. That they come together in a peculiar seemingly limitless xp granting combination is a flaw in the designer's conception of the area rather than blatant cheating as in opening debug mode and granting yourself the xp out of nowhere.
To say that it's cheezy is fine, since it was never intended in this manner. But it's not wrong nor really a cheat in any literal definition of cheating. Is a chess player cheating if he moves his King piece back and forth in two places just to prevent his opponent from scoring the "check mate"? That's the way I see it, the honor to cheeze it or not is yours...

We may never know.
If the unlimited spawning of protectors was intended by Obsidian, then I cannot agree with you more. But it was not, I stand by my opinion that we are searching for alternate methods of breaking a game. If you get what I mean. That's the way I see it, the honor to cheeze it or not is yours...
