Help, my character is moving sideways (bug?)

Hi, I played Vampire before when it was released and since it's such a great game I wanted to play it once more.

I installed the 1.2 patch and the latest True unofficial patch (appearantly not changing the game but fixing more bugs).

However when I start a new character it moves sideways in 3rd person mode. When I press forward it moves to the topright corner sort to speak. Also actions are not centered on my cursor (aiming thiny) but a little to the right instead. (Where I have no indication where I need to click)

Obviously it's not playable like this. Is this a know bug?
Any suggestion how to fix this would be helpfull.

Ah hah! Something I can answer! Another fellow left-hander I presume?

The 3rd person camera-lock buttons are 8,4,6, and 2 on the keypad. The 2 on the keypad, if unbound to anything else, will set it back behind you. I learned this after nearly going as insane as a MAlkavian trying to figure it out.
