OK I just getting all the items to complete the hammer. I forged it and it is a great hammer. But I was thinking of not using it and getting rid of it and just keeping the gear to make it. The reason I would get rid of it is that it is really late in the game and I do not have any charcters prof. in the hammer.
My party:
Me thief
Minsc and boo
Edwin
Jaheira
keldorn
Imoen
Maybe not the best party but they do the trick. Should I get some one else to use the hammer. I have spent alot of time getting these charcters to a high level. And if I get some else I will have to build them up in level to be with par with the party. What should I do heeeeeellllllllpppppppppp me. Anyone see how much the hammer is worth not that gold is needed.

That's actually not a very bad idea at all; most people just forge it but then they lose two potential items that add strength (gauntlets of ogre power, girdle of xxxx giant) I say that if you use a predominately fighter mentality and use four members of your party in melee combat, it may suit you to spread the strength wealth around, especially if you have decent weapons for your party. Besides, you'll always have the option to forge it later if you want, as long as you don't lose any of the items...

It's considered a +5 weapon(affects Kangaxx's Demi-lich form )

I got all the items to forge the crom fayer my first play through, but i realized that even that the hammer was a superb weapon i had no-one in the party with any proficiency slots on war-hammers so i decided to keep the girdle of fgs with my pc (fighter), the ogre power gloves with mazzy and wiped my a$$ with the crom fayer scroll... This because i got little bit angry when i noticed it didn't do any good to me...

One option to consider is to use it as an off-hand weapon even if you don't have the proficiencies. I did this my first time through by giving it to Valygar. He took a big non-prof. hit for wielding it (esp. in his off hand), but he still had the 25 strength, which made Celestial Fury all the more effective for his main weapon.
Yes, it would be nice to spread the strength items around, but you still have the 19-strength girdle and you will get a 20-strength girdle in the elven city. Plus, strength potions last a long time and by that point in the game you should have more than enough for any weaker characters (Mazzy/Keldorn/Jaheira/Valygar) to take a gulp before the tougher fights.
In the end I think Crom Faeyr is worth it.

You don't need a +4 weapon to kill Kangaxx in his Demi-Lich form. You can simply use a flame tongue +1 and yahoo... although that is considered +4 against undead...
I digress...

Cartoon Law III
Any body passing through solid matter will leave a perforation conforming to its perimeter. Also called the silhouette of passage, this phenomenon is the speciality of victims of directed-pressure explosions and of reckless cowards who are so eager to escape that they exit directly through the wall of a house, leaving a cookie-cutout-perfect hole. The threat of skunks or matrimony often catalyzes this reaction.

If none of your characters dual wield or have hammer proficiency points, I'd suggest not getting it, since it requires you use a weapon you are not proficient in. IF someone dual wields, put it in their off hand.
