suggestions for landscape texture mods

Post by BlueSky »

Yes, once again a re-install...

I have in my downloads
Ultimate Textures v.3 and v.1
Fantasy Color Morrowind
Vibrant Morrowind 3
Morrowind Visual Pack 3
Visual Pack XT

Any suggestions on which one to use...any known conflicts with other mods that you have run into...any others that you might suggest?

and yes I know that some of you will laugh when you read this... :D

Are you and Joe having some sort of competition BlueSky? If so you'll never catch Fable!

I've been using Moe Trees and Foliage and More Trees and Foliage Autumn which I think are quite nice, also Pelagiad Forest. So far I've not found any clashes with other mods.

...No competition... :D
I was added more mods as usual....and ran into some major conflicts, that were unrepairable....so decided to do a re-install...
found a new MWLibrary mod that I really want to try, as in RL I work in one.. :D

BTW thanks for the quick reply...appreciate it...and yes I'm fairly sure that DW, Fable, and Joe and others will have something to say....spam included... ;)

LMAO!
I was actually about to put up a similar thread asking about really high quality texture packs, and system demanding mods, since I'll have a new machine arriving sometime next week. (Though I plan to explore some new games first)
But, you beat me to it :D

Anyway,
as I might have mentioned before, its controversy not withstanding, I ended up really liking Ultimate Textures 1.0 because the naturalistic look fits very well into the Morrowind world. This is, of course, so subjective, but while I really admire the more intensely-coloured artistry created by some modders, it's not my personal preference.
I would also suggest checking out the work of a modder called Connary... his Ceramic Plates and Illuminated Books are simply stunning.

Connary has some nice creature re placers as well. His sewers are good too.

Hi!

I just wondered.
If I get some of these texture mods will it conflict with my ordinary mods?
Such as: Better bodies, Havish, Official mods, robe collection etc.
And after install can I continue with the existing game or do I have to start a new one? - I hope not.

I'll wait to see your reply thanks.

No they shouldn't....
Texture mods usually just change the look of things, they don't affect quest type mods....

Heres' a link to a comparison page that shows different texture packs.

BTW...@ DW....since I've tried the Vibrant before, this time I've decided, with input from my daughter to try the Fantasy color mod....Have decided on most that I want and will begin the re-install this weekend...when I'm not playing either Assassins Creed or Mass Effect....got it last night...
