Nether Summon spells

I have the Nether spell Summon Rats, but whenever I use it, my character just raises her hand and doesn't summon any rats. I do have 1 level in Nether magic, but still nothing. What gives?

nether spells are like pickinlocks/disarming traps you have a percentage to pass/fail if your lvl 1 casting a lvl one spell then your percentage is 50/50 try increasing the spell lvl a couple of times youll find that the higher you are over the summons you are casting not only will you succeed but you will summon more creatures.

I think the most rats ive summoned at once is 5 as well as skeletons ive even summoned 2 haunts at once
