Did I just break the guild?

Hello all
I have a problem here that I can't seem to solve, and based on my searchings around the board, no one else has experienced this.

This happens in the first task in the Mage's Guild. I have completed what needs to be done, I have the staff, but when I take it to Raminus, he tells me I should be 'out acquiring a mage's staff'. I have the staff and the necromancers are killed...

I save often, in this case right after killing the last necromancer. Even when I go back to that save, I get the same results. Anyone else seen this? Know how to fix it?

Hm, are you sure you have the wood required for your staff and not a staff picked up from the cave? the wood is in a chest.

If you have the wood, then this might be a bug. To get over it, if you are playing on PC, open the console and type the following command:

setstage MG08MagesStaff 40

this should advance your quest to after you need to speak with Raminous. if you play on console then you might be stuck.

The staff I have is the one from the chest, and I'm playing on 360! Which probably means I'm stuck...

Did you kill all the necromancers? There are three or four in the cave, and another three in the clearing with the chest. The quest wont advance until all are dead, you should get a journal message when you kill the last one.
