Ok, so I have two problems.
1) Windows Vista. I can fully install KotOR II onto the computer and it runs well. The menus all work, but when I finally get past the small cutscene of the Ebon Hawk flying through the asteroid field, the game crashes. This has never happened before. Help?
2) Windows XP. I insert the very first disc of KoTOR II and it begins installing normally. Suddenly, it stops at the "...models.bif" phrase and after about ten minutes displays "CYCLIC REDUNDANCY ERROR". I have gone through all of the Lucas Arts Yoda's Help Desk stuff and it doesn't work. Resetting all drives to PIO ONLY and stuff... using the second drive, doesn't work. The disks aren't defective, as they have worked many times before... help?
NOTE- No mods or patches have been installed on either computer.

Oh never mind.
I managed to install the patch/update (for some reason it didn't let me install it before), and now the game works on Vista.
However, I need to "reupdate" the game each time I play it, which basically means that I click update from the opening menu and wait for it to say "Your game is currently up to date". Then it works.
Weird, but I can live with it.
