I know how to get to luskan now, but I didnt do the quest in chapter 1 for boddyknock. If I use him to go with me to luskan will he be weaker because he didnt get the lantenese ring +3? Or should I take linu which I did do her quest in chapter 1? Or it doesnt matter and wait to get to hotu and give the henchmen better weapons and armor?
Generally, the items your Henchmen get for finishing the quests end up in YOUR inventory, not in theirs, so you cannot give Boodyknock the Lantanese ring. It's only in SoU and HotU that you get control over your Henchman's inventory.
